2 Sam 15:21 Loyalty of a servant to the king

"As the Lord lives and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king shall be, whether for death or for life, there also will your servant be"
[2 Sam 15:21]

Can you tell me; what's so interesting about this verse, does it remind OR brings something to your mind???? IF NOT, please read it once again and I am sure this time you will grasp it. Yes my dear friends, the above verse does "quite resemble" with what Ruth had answered to Naomi; "Do not urge me to leave you. For where you go I will go. Your people shall be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die and there will I be buried" [Ruth 1:16]

Today let us see about “Ittai” and the lesson what we can learn from his life. The Bible does not mentions much about “ Ittai ”, but this character certainly has left a good example ("An example of loyalty and faithfulness") for all of us to follow and implement in our lives.

Before moving into scripture I would like to give an example of a boss and employee. An employee who was working in a company since many years suddenly takes a decision to resign from his duty just because he predicted the present condition of the company is not productive for his future. This may be the time when the boss might need him the maximum. Many of us are like the employee mentioned here who just looks and seeks “self interest” and fails to be loyal and faithful

The scripture illustrates in (v.20) King David saying to Ittai "You came only yesterday and shall I today make you wander about with us" At this Ittai's approach seemed "as if" he was with the king since many years and thus he does not want to leave the king at any cost, whether for death or for life. Ittai knew Absolom had revolted against the king and the king was going through a hard and dangerous time. But Ittai did not mind putting his life in danger and makes the courageous decision to stay with the king and prove his loyalty and faithfulness. But what made Ittai to make this bold decision????? This was because Ittai saw David as a man who loved and relied upon the Lord. He knew King David was Lord’s anointed one. He was also aware, how the Lord has been faithful to the king and had given victories over his enemies in the past.

Today let us examine ourselves, are we showing our loyalty wherever God has kept us – whether it is at home, workplace, society or church. It’s not a big deal or a thing of appreciation to be loyal when circumstances are good and in your favor. Show your loyalty, when your company needs you the maximum. Show your loyalty, when your friend or relative expects a help from you. Show your loyalty by having a zealous share in the work of God’s kingdom by sharing gospel.

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. KJV

David is a man of God specifically speaking a man according to God's heart. David has lot of experience from his profession of herding the sheep's.he had a good sense of love of God which we sometimes don't have.He believed that God works like a shepherd .A shepherd would always take care of his sheep's but how?
Shepherds needs to be patient, kind and devoted to the sheep.shepherds need to be patient because sheep's tend to get lost from their home if not properly overseen. They wander here and there following different signs and sheeps and finally get lost.shepherds staff is the identity that helps sheep's to go on right path.we as a sheep follow groups thinking that the group is the truth but this is the situation where Christ plays the role of saving the sheep by coming to this Earth and saving the sheeps (mankind). This search is done by a shepherd which we refer to as Jesus .
Shepherds take the sh…

Psalms 27:3 Though an army encamps around me I will not fear

3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

When a army encamps around a king or a kingdom,It shows the failure of the king or kingdom in providing proper security to the people.Army encamping leads to critical condition of insecurity for everyone. In this situation there are only two options that is 1 war 2 surrender.Even if war is done it would lead to serious destruction of humans and would lead to captivity of whatever possession the kingdom has.
When we read 2 kings 6:17 ,Elisha is surrounded by armies of king Amar which is specified as the special forces for capturing Elisha but Elisha prays to God to reveal the truth. The truth is god has already set armies of fire around Elisha who is described as a man of God.
Lastly,we need to know one thing;if you are A man of God,God has sent his first armed forces to rescue you so never fear.Amen!

Mathew 16:15-17 Who am I?

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?A question which Peter is been asked by Jesus. How magnificent question which reveals how important Jesus is for peter.who am I?
Christ seeing the condition of Pharisees and other Israelites where everyone is confused and away from the revealation of the real Messiah are lacking faith in jesus.jesus is troubled at the this because he is meant to be accepted and received at least by his own people the Jews. They recognize him by their own mindset .They are defining GOD by their ideas which Christ didn't like because he is GOD.He is not only a prophet but the GOD.He is not only a doctor but the GOD.Jesus expected a answer from Jews that Jesus is the son of GOD who was promised by prophets to be born on this Earth for redemption.
We are in a world where GOD helps in all our fields of life but still we limit him as a doctor ,healer or a banker but this is not what Jesus is.when we see the verse 16 and 1716 And Simon Peter answered and sa…
